Chemtura to increase polymer antioxidant and rubber additive prices

14-Mar-2011 Polymers, Chemical Price Changes

Chemtura Corporation (NYSE: CHMT) announced that it is raising the price of the products supplied by the Polymer Antioxidants and UV stabilizer business, primarily as the result of a significant and sustained increase in key materials costs, increased volatility and limited availability of key raw materials.

Effective on all deliveries after March 15, 2011, or as contract terms allow, the price of the Polymer Antioxidants and Rubber Additives will be increased by up to 10%. These increases are in addition to the previously announced increases.

These increases are essential to sustain Chemtura as a viable supplier and to enable continued reinvestment in new technology required by the polymer and compounding industries.
