Chemtura to increase prices up to 20%

Chemtura Corporation, debtor-in-possession (Pink Sheets: CEMJQ), announces that effective Feb. 1, 2010, or as contract terms allow, Chemtura will increase off list pricing for BA-59P(R), HBCD (all grades of CD-75P(R)and SP-75(R)), PH-73FF(R) and other selected brominated flame retardants by up to 20 percent in all regions.

This increase is necessary due to continuing escalation in the cost of key raw materials, in particular benzene derivatives and chlorine.

Chemtura's flame retardants add safety to products such as TVs, computers, electrical relays and components and products used in the building and construction industry.
