We are pleased to inform you of some planned changes that will occur within
Lubrizol in late October and early November 2011. We will implement SAP'S enterprise resource planning system along with a set of standardized business processes in Latin America for the Lubrizol sites.
This improved capability will allow us to meet our customers future business needs with greater speed and efficiency. Our goal is to be able to plan, schedule and monitor the production and distribution of our products with greater efficiency, while also improving our supply chain, customer´s service, order integration and material management.
This is another step in our regional approach to globalizing SAP for the Lubrizol organization.
As you may know, the previous phases that began mid 2008 have been successfully implemented, and we have been working to optimize the system and processes for our customers and suppliers globally while moving forward with our implementation project in Latin America.
We have developed considerable experience in managing these implementations. Since 1998, we have installed SAP at many Lubrizol sites, in numerous regional deployments. Additionally, the experience gained will provide for enhanced execution in Latin America and future regions.
We are making the considerable investment and transition to SAP to continue to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our business processes in order to better meet the needs of
our customers.
